Christ the Good Shepherd Parish @ Our Lady of Perpetual Help is a Roman Catholic parish in the village of Minetto, New York, situated on State Route 48 north of the center of town. It serves as one of the worship sites of Christ the Good Shepherd (CTGS), the unified Roman Catholic Parish of Oswego, New York, in the Diocese of Syracuse, formed in 2019 from the consolidation of several historic Oswego-area parishes. The Minetto site continues the legacy of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, originally founded in 1932, and offers Sunday Mass to the surrounding rural community along with Our Lady of the Rosary mission church in Hannibal. CTGS pastoral operations are headquartered at 50 East Mohawk Street in Oswego.

About Christ the Good Shepherd Parish
Christ the Good Shepherd (CTGS) is the Roman Catholic Parish encompassing the City of Oswego and Town of Scriba in New York. It was formed as a unification of the parishes of St. Paul, St. Joseph, St. Stephen the King, St. Peter, Sacred Heart, and the territory of St. Mary of the Assumption, plus the closed parishes of St. John the Evangelist and St. Louis. Our Lady of Perpetual Help — Minetto
Our Lady of Perpetual Help is the Minetto worship site of Christ the Good Shepherd, located at 2913 State Route 48 on the north side of the village along the Oswego River. The parish traces its roots to 1932 and continues to serve the village of Minetto and surrounding rural communities with Saturday Vigil and Sunday Mass.

Christ the Good Shepherd Main Campus — Oswego Schedule
At the main CTGS worship site (134 East 5th Street, Oswego), the parish offers a fuller schedule including daily Mass, multiple Sunday Masses (including a 6:30 PM Mass at Hall Newman Center on the SUNY Oswego campus), and Saturday confession.

Faith Formation & Religious Education
The parish Faith Formation program serves children from PreK through 12th grade, with classes held at the CTGS campus and at Hall Newman Center for older youth. Sacramental preparation is provided for Grade 2 (First Communion) and Grades 9 & 10 (Confirmation). No student is turned away due to financial hardship; the maximum family fee is $75, with $40 for sacramental students and $25 for other grades.

Youth & Family Ministry
CTGS supports a Youth Ministry program for grades 7–12 meeting at Hall Newman Center on Sunday evenings. A dedicated Pastoral Associate for Family Life Ministry (Deanne Hall) accompanies parish families in faith. The parish also runs a Vacation Bible School during the summer.

Heritage & History of the Oswego Parishes
The Catholic presence in Oswego predates the unification by nearly two centuries. St. Paul's parish was organized in 1830 by Peter Lappin and twenty other Catholics who invited Rev. Father O'Donohue to celebrate the first Mass in a private house; the parish grew rapidly and built successive church structures, with the present building dedicated in 1969. The unification of Oswego's parishes was driven by unsustainable finances identified in 2017; in August 2018 the community chose 'Christ the Good Shepherd' as patron, and on May 11, 2019 Bishop Robert J. Cunningham affirmed the recommendation that St. Paul's Church become the home of the new parish effective July 1, 2019. In 2021, St. Mary of the Assumption was designated a Diocesan Shrine.
