Christ Our Light Catholic Church (Cristo Nuestra Luz) is a bilingual Catholic parish in Navasota, Texas, situated along Highway 6 north of town. Parish Staff & Clergy
Christ Our Light is administered jointly with St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Anderson. Effective July 1, 2025, Father David Michael Moses was appointed Administrator of both parishes by the Archdiocese of Galveston–Houston. He succeeds Father Giovani Hung Nguyen, who had previously served as Administrator of the paired parishes, and Father Elias (Fr. Eli) Lopez, who led the parishes during events such as the 2022 Passion Play. Nelda Kurten is named in parish Flocknote communications as a parish office contact for ministries and volunteer coordination.

Faith Formation & Religious Education
The parish provides catechesis for students from pre-K through 12th grade through its Religious Education office (Catecismo), reached at (936) 825-1869. The parish publishes a 'Become Catholic' pathway for adults inquiring about the Catholic faith, and Confirmation preparation includes clearly stated sponsor eligibility guidelines following Canon Law 874. Confirmation Sponsors — Parish Guidelines
The parish publishes detailed sponsor eligibility guidelines based on Canon Law 874 and 892. Each Confirmation candidate may choose one sponsor (man or woman), who takes on a lifelong commitment to help the candidate persevere in the faith. Sponsors must be at least 16 years old, have received Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Communion, and lead a life of faith in keeping with the role. A parent may not be a sponsor but may act as a proxy if the assigned sponsor cannot attend.

- Sponsor must be a registered parish member to obtain the Sponsor Certificate of Eligibility signed by the pastor
- Sponsor ideally should be one of the candidate's godparents (desirable but not required)
- A proxy may stand in if the sponsor cannot attend

Parish leadership has specifically invited volunteers for the Parish Council, Finance Council, Grief Ministry, Marriage Preparation, and English Baptism Coordinator roles, reflecting the parish's commitment to service and sacramental support.
