Why belong here

NC State CCM is a genuinely student-shaped Catholic community where daily Mass, Eucharistic Adoration and confession are built into the rhythm of the week — including the popular Wednesday-night Wolfpack Worship Night with adoration, Mass and a home-cooked dinner at the Doggett Center. Students can grow in faith through men's (Esto Vir) and women's (Fiat) ministry, weekly Bible studies, OCIA (for those becoming Catholic), retreats, mission trips, service events and a graduate-student fellowship, all while being pastorally accompanied by Legionary of Christ chaplains and a lay staff. It's an ideal fit for NC State students seeking a sacramental, mission-minded Catholic home while at university.

History and the Doggett Center

After decades of improvised spaces, CCM received its first permanent home in 1988 when Bishop Joseph Gossman opened the original Doggett Center. That building was razed in 2013 for the construction of the new Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral, and the community moved back into NC State's Talley Student Union. In spring 2023 a historic 4,446-square-foot house at 1410 Hillsborough Street was purchased for $2.25 million, remodeled into a worship, fellowship and study space, and blessed on September 3, 2023 by Bishop Luis Rafael Zarama.
