The Cardinal John Henry Newman Catholic Student Center is a Roman Catholic parish in Corpus Christi, Texas, within the Diocese of Corpus Christi. It serves as the campus ministry hub for students at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and Del Mar College, as well as young adults in the wider Corpus Christi area. Founded in 1992 and located at 7002 Ocean Drive, the center offers daily and Sunday Mass, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Eucharistic Adoration, and a range of student-oriented ministries including Tuesday lunches, retreats, pilgrimages, and Theology on Tap. It is named after Saint John Henry Newman (1801–1890), the English theologian, poet, and cardinal who led the Oxford Movement before his 1845 conversion to Catholicism.

The Cardinal John Henry Newman Catholic Student Center is a Roman Rite parish of the Diocese of Corpus Christi located at 7002 Ocean Drive in Corpus Christi, Texas. The center takes its name from Saint John Henry Newman (1801–1890), the English cardinal and theologian who led the Oxford Movement before his 1845 conversion to Catholicism and who was canonized by Pope Francis in 2019.

History
The Newman Center at 7002 Ocean Drive was established in 1992 to serve Catholic university students in Corpus Christi. For its first two decades the facility functioned mostly as a Sunday Mass site with limited weekday presence. In October 2016 Bishop Michael Mulvey and the Diocese of Corpus Christi broke ground on a $2.1 million, 6,285-square-foot expansion to create a true student center with a full-time chapel, offices, and dedicated space for student activities. The expansion was completed in fall 2017 and was supported by a $500,000 grant from the John G. and Marie Stella Kenedy Memorial Foundation as part of the diocese's 'Legacy of Faith — Future of Hope' campaign.

Staff and Leadership
The Newman Center is staffed by clergy and lay ministers appointed by the Diocese of Corpus Christi. The current Rector and Chaplain is Rev. Carlos De La Rosa, who also serves as Parochial Vicar of St. John the Baptist Parish in Corpus Christi; he was ordained June 18, 2022. Chiara Catipon serves as Campus Minister and is the primary point of contact for students and visitors.

The Newman Center organizes a full calendar of ministries aimed at forming Catholic students socially, intellectually, and spiritually. Programming is geared toward college-aged students but is open to all young adults in the Corpus Christi area.
