Blessed Trinity Catholic Church is a multicultural Roman Catholic parish in Greer, South Carolina, nestled in the foothills between Greenville and Spartanburg. Parish History
Blessed Trinity was born in March 1974 from a simple need: Catholic families on the east side of Greenville County had outgrown the area's existing parishes. Originally called 'The Greer-Taylors Endeavor,' the group met Saturday evenings at Grace United Methodist Church in Greer, with a sister group soon forming at Lee Road United Methodist in Taylors. Eleven years of shared worship with the Methodists shaped a permanent ecumenical identity — one that continues today through Greer Community Ministries.

Our Parish Identity: A Multicultural Catholic Community
From its earliest days Blessed Trinity has drawn members from across the United States and Canada, Mexico, and Central and South America. The parish name — referencing the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — is lived out in weekly bilingual liturgy: English and Spanish Masses every Saturday evening and Sunday. Roughly 450 households now make up the community, seated in a 275-seat church. The parish belongs to the Greenville Deanery of the Diocese of Charleston.

Faith Formation (Catechesis)
Blessed Trinity runs a parish catechetical program preparing children for First Holy Communion and the Sacrament of Confirmation. Two full academic years (September through May) of preparation are required before each sacrament. Registration is open only to registered parishioners who are actively using the parish envelope system. The parish grounds its program in the words of St. John Paul II from Catechesi Tradendae: that the aim of catechesis is to bring people into communion and intimacy with Jesus Christ.

Baptism Preparation (Sacramento del Bautismo)
Baptisms are celebrated on the third Saturday of each month at 11:00 am. A pre-baptismal talk (plática pre-bautismal) is required for both parents and godparents and is held on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm (after Benediction). Parents must be registered parishioners for at least three months and using the envelope system, and must present the child's birth certificate. Godparents must be at least 16 years old, fully initiated Catholics (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist), and — if married — married by the Church; cohabitation is not compatible with the role. Sponsors from another parish must provide a Sponsorship Certificate from their own pastor.

Other Sacraments and Devotions
Beyond the Eucharist and Baptism, the parish hosts the Sacrament of Reconciliation on a published weekly schedule and by appointment, and coordinates Marriage preparation and Quinceañera celebrations through the parish office. A weekly Sunday Rosary precedes the 9:30 am Mass, and the Blessed Sacrament is adored every Thursday afternoon.
