Why belong here

Blessed Sacrament offers a traditional Catholic parish home rooted in devotion to the Eucharist — the very name of the parish reflects its central focus on Eucharistic worship. With daily 8:30 AM Mass, a Saturday Vigil that is livestreamed, Saturday confession, a faith formation program for children, a Respect Life ministry, and an active 'Jesus and the Eucharist' small group as part of the National Eucharistic Revival, parishioners find many ways to grow in faith and serve the Worcester community. It is an ideal parish for those who value the Real Presence, a smaller-knit Catholic community, and Eucharistic-centered spirituality.

History & Founding

In August 1911, Bishop Thomas D. Beaven of the Diocese of Worcester granted the request of local Catholic families for a new parish in Worcester's West End and appointed Reverend Patrick Turner as the first pastor. Father Turner immediately began seeking a temporary Mass site and a property for a permanent church and school. Over a century later, Blessed Sacrament continues that founding mission from its home at 551 Pleasant Street.
