Parish History
Catholic roots in Grandview go back to about 1915, when Fr. Shiel of Prosser said the first Mass in the community. Bishop O'Dea of Seattle soon established a parish covering Grandview, Mabton, Sunnyside, and Granger, sending Fr. E. T. McCarthy in 1916. With help from the Extension Society, parishioners built a small prefabricated church — Blessed Sacrament Church — dedicated December 8, 1918, seating about 150. After Fr. Conway moved the parish seat to Sunnyside in 1926, Grandview became a mission and eventually its little church was sold to the Baptists. The faith community was reinstated as a parish in 1954, and within a year a generous fundraising campaign funded a new church, confraternity center, and parish house, dedicated November 27, 1955 by Bishop Joseph P. Dougherty.

Sacraments & Devotions
Blessed Sacrament offers the Sacrament of Penance on Saturday afternoons and welcomes appointments outside that time. The parish also gathers for Eucharistic Adoration every Thursday evening.
