Why belong here

Ascension is a mid-sized parish (about 845 families) that still feels like a close-knit faith family, with daily Mass, Saturday Reconciliation, First-Friday and First-Saturday Eucharistic Adoration, and a parish-wide penance service each Advent and Lent. Its ministries are hands-on and community-focused — the St. Vincent de Paul Food Distribution Center (open Tuesdays and Fridays), the Knights of Columbus Council #9188, the Ascension Chorale and Schola choirs, the Arts at Ascension concert series, the Family Faith Ministry, Vacation Bible School, OCIA for adults, and active outreach to Andre House, Circle the City, Duet, MANA House, Arizona Brainfood, and Matthew Community. Worship is grounded in traditional Catholic sacred music and liturgy, and parishioners are welcomed into a community currently celebrating its 50th anniversary under the theme 'Reflect, Rejoice, Renew.'
