Formed on July 1, 2014 through the merger of Christ the King Parish (dating to 1942) and Holy Spirit Parish (dating to 1952), it serves the faithful from two distinct campuses — Holy Spirit Church at 1800 Lodge Avenue and Christ the King Church at 1760 Lodge Avenue — together with two parish schools. Our History — Two Parishes Become One
On July 1, 2014, the Parish of the Annunciation of the Lord was born from the merger of Christ the King Parish (dating to 1942) and Holy Spirit Parish (dating to 1952). The merger process began in September 2013 after Bishop Charles C. Thompson announced a strategic plan for the Diocese of Evansville. A naming committee chose the Annunciation name, which was announced on April 17, 2014. While both campuses retain their individual character and identity, the merged parish is now one community, poised to meet the needs of all the faithful.

Worship Schedule
Annunciation Parish offers Mass at both its campuses every day of the week, with weekend Masses in both English and Haitian Creole. The Rosary is prayed 20 minutes before every Mass, and weekday Adoration is a regular part of parish life at Christ the King.

Healing Mass & Other Devotions
A weekly Healing Mass is celebrated on Wednesdays at Christ the King, immediately preceded by Adoration and Confession. The parish also hosts a Saturday morning Rosary, That Man is You men's fellowship, an Ultreya (Cursillo) gathering, and an Adore & Restore evening.

OCIA — Becoming Catholic (Adult Faith Formation)
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) provides adults the opportunity to explore the Catholic faith and its teachings, and through the process may come to desire and receive the Sacraments of Initiation — Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation. The program begins with Inquiry sessions held Sunday mornings at 9:00 am in the Parish Center starting in September; there is no commitment and anyone is welcome. Full OCIA sessions meet on Sundays beginning in October.

Liturgical Ministries & Music
The parish welcomes parishioners to serve at Mass as lectors, altar servers, and choir members. Anna Creek serves as Music Director and the Adult Choir rehearses Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm at Christ the King.
