Parish Story & History
All Saints was founded in 1946 when Father Fischer purchased 18 acres at Hillside and Harry in southeast Wichita. The first Mass was celebrated on September 16, 1946 in the auditorium of the nursing school at St. Joseph's Hospital, and the new parish began with more than 1,000 families — the largest founding congregation in the Diocese of Wichita. The permanent church was dedicated in 1965 and rededicated in 1996 after three decades of additions and improvements. Today All Saints is a bilingual, vibrant parish with an attached Catholic school, multiple faith-formation programs, and a long list of lay ministries.

The parish is intentionally bilingual, with Vietnamese-language Mass offered every Sunday and on Wednesday evenings and Friday mornings, alongside regular English Masses.

Father Hien was born July 12, 1972 and was ordained May 27, 2000; his prior assignments include Church of the Magdalen in Wichita, the Chancery Office of Vocations, chaplaincy at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, Holy Family parish in Marion County, and the parishes of St. Joseph (McPherson) and St. Bridget of Sweden (Lindsborg).

Mass & Sacrament Schedule
Weekend Masses are offered on Saturday at 4:00 PM in English and on Sunday at 9:00 AM in English and 10:30 AM in Vietnamese. Weekday Masses are celebrated Tuesday and Thursday at 8:00 AM in English, Wednesday at 5:30 PM in Vietnamese, and Friday at 8:00 AM in Vietnamese. Weddings are scheduled no later than 2:00 PM and should be arranged with the pastor; funeral Masses are offered Monday through Saturday. Confessions are heard before every weekend Mass, and the Diocese of Wichita directory also lists confession following Mass on Tuesday and Thursday, plus Perpetual Adoration at the parish.

Faith Formation & Religious Education
The parish's Director of Religious Education, Sandy Nettleton, coordinates a full slate of faith formation programs for children, teens, and adults. The Parish School of Religion (PSR) serves public-school students from Kindergarten through 9th grade, while Generations of Faith gathers the whole parish for a shared meal, themed teaching, breakout sessions by age group, and prayer. Sacramental Preparation readies children for Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation, and Adult Religious Ed / 3R's sessions invite all adult parishioners to grow in scripture and Catholic faith. Catechist training is provided through the Diocese of Wichita and local in-service gatherings.

All Saints Catholic School
All Saints Catholic School offers Catholic education for children from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade, sharing the parish campus. The school's mission is to form students into disciples of Christ who are academically and spiritually prepared to live as faithful stewards in a diverse world, working in partnership with parents and the parish. Parish Ministries & Organizations
All Saints encourages Stewardship by inviting parishioners into a variety of ministries and organizations. The Altar Society is open to all parish women age 18 and older, meeting on the 2nd Thursday of each month (September–May) at 7:00 PM in McGivney Hall. The parish Council of the Knights of Columbus meets on the 1st Monday of the month in McGivney Hall and supports the parish through the Tootsie Roll Drive, Life Saver Sunday, Post Card Show, and the Lenten Fish Fry. Other active ministries include the Respect Life Committee (which organizes peaceful prayer witness at the local abortion clinic), Social Justice, and Harvest House.

Safe Environment & Parish Operations
All Saints Catholic Church & School follows the Diocese of Wichita Safe Environment Program, designed to protect youth, the elderly, and vulnerable adults who participate in parish activities. Diocesan policy requires all catechists, Catholic school volunteers, and youth ministry volunteers to participate in the Safe Environment program.
