All Saints Parish is a Roman Catholic parish in Guilford, Indiana, formed in 2013 by the merger of four historic Dearborn County parishes: St. John the Baptist (est. 1824), St. Paul the Apostle (est. 1833), St. Joseph (est. 1841), and St. Martin (est. 1850). The parish is unique in that it remains ONE parish served across four campuses — each with its own church building where Mass and devotions are celebrated — making up roughly 1,057 registered families. It belongs to the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and is pastored in solidum by two priests with a team of deacons, catechists, and lay staff. The St. John the Baptist Campus (the former parish of the same name) is the second oldest Catholic church in Indiana and houses a parish preschool and the parish office.

Our Story — Four Parishes Become One
All Saints Parish was formed on July 1, 2013, when the Archdiocese of Indianapolis merged four longstanding Dearborn County parishes: St. John the Baptist (Guilford, est. 1824), St. Paul the Apostle (est. 1833), St. Joseph (est. 1841), and St. Martin (est. 1850). Rather than close the historic churches, the parish keeps each one open for Mass and devotions, so parishioners can worship at whichever campus is closest to home while remaining one community of about 1,057 families.

History of the St. John the Baptist Campus
The St. John Campus traces its roots to 1824, when Bishop Edward Fenwick sent missionaries into southeastern Indiana and a log church was built. Frame, then brick, churches followed in 1840 and 1847. The current brick church was constructed in 1874 under Rev. Seibertz; in 1879 Rev. Brueggemann finished the interior with plaster, stained glass, statues, altars, and a pipe organ that is still in use. Major modern renovations occurred circa 1930 under Rev. Feller and in 1990 under Rev. Burwinkle, leading up to the parish-defining 2016 restoration.

The 2016 Restoration of the St. John Campus
Volunteer parishioners, led by Matthew Kuebel, refinished and assembled a 27-foot wooden altar and reredos that had been purchased from a historic Polish church in Pittsburgh, PA, in 2009 and gifted to the parish in fall 2015. Thousands of volunteer hours went into sanding, priming, painting, gilding, and reassembling the 24 component pieces. The original 1874 tabernacle (interior inscribed with the date 1895 and the name Sister Mary Cleophas) was reincorporated into the new altar as the dwelling place of the Blessed Sacrament, and LED lighting was added to the reredos and side shrines.

Faith Formation & Education
Faith formation spans the atrium method of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for the youngest children, a 7th & 8th grade program, ongoing youth and young adult ministry, and adult faith formation. All Saints Catholic Academy, housed on the St. John Campus, provides preschool education.
