About All Saints · Milwaukee, Wisconsin

All Saints Catholic Church is a Roman Catholic parish on Milwaukee's north side, located at 4051 N. 25th Street in the 53209 ZIP code. Created in 1994 as one of two new central-city parishes (alongside St. Martin de Porres) after the Archdiocese of Milwaukee closed several older north-side parishes, it occupies the former St. Agnes Catholic Church building dedicated in 1995. All Saints is widely known as the largest African American Catholic parish in Wisconsin, with a multi-racial and multi-cultural congregation that includes African Americans, recent African immigrants, and a white minority representing roughly 16 countries. Its worship is marked by a celebrated Gospel Choir of about 60 voices and a vibrant, culturally diverse liturgical style grounded in the Eucharist and a strong commitment to serving Milwaukee's central city.

Why belong here

All Saints is a place where a small but deeply committed Catholic community intentionally gathers across race, nationality and culture — about 16 African nations are represented alongside African American and white parishioners — to celebrate the Eucharist with one of the most celebrated Gospel choirs in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. The parish puts faith into immediate action on Milwaukee's central city through a free hot meal program serving up to 400 meals on peak nights, a twice-weekly food pantry, and the immersion baptism tradition that draws new members into the life of Christ. Newcomers are welcomed with new-member packets in the back of church, weekly Scripture study on Zoom, a Faith Formation program, Knights of Peter Claver fellowship, and an Archdiocesan scholarship available to members of the Central City parishes who wish to advance their education.

Parish Story & History

All Saints was born on November 1, 1994 when the Archdiocese of Milwaukee established two new central-city parishes from the ashes of six closed north-side parishes: St. Agnes, St. Anne, Holy Angels, St. John de Nepomuc, St. Leo and St. Thomas Aquinas. All Saints, informally 'parish west' during the transition, took over the former St. Agnes site at 25th Street and Capitol Avenue and was formally dedicated in June 1995.

  • Founded November 1, 1994; dedicated June 1995
  • Sits in the former St. Agnes Catholic Church building (original structure built 1926)
  • 2007 interior renovation led by architects Paul Barribeau and parishioner Marty Kleiber cost $2.8 million
  • Pulled the altar forward into the congregation and added an immersion baptismal pool
  • Recognized as the largest African American Catholic parish in Wisconsin

Music & Liturgical Ministry

Music is the heartbeat of All Saints. Sheila Bost directs the Music Ministry, Chris Tillman leads music at the 7:30 a.m. Mass, and Bea Frazier serves as Sacristan for both Sunday liturgies. The sanctuary is shaped to give the Gospel Choir and congregation room to worship together, and features African-inspired artwork, a colorful tapestry that has won awards, and sculptures of saints by Wiktor Szostalo.

All Saints runs two cornerstone outreach ministries on Milwaukee's north side. The All Saints Hot Meal Program serves free hot meals in the church basement on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., with Bible Study beforehand at 4:30 p.m.; revived after COVID-19 under Fr. Mike Wolfe, the program has grown from roughly 70 meals per night to as many as 400 on peak nights. The All Saints Food Pantry distributes free groceries on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The pantry and meal program are supported by Hunger Task Force, Feeding America, local farmers, and a small team of dedicated volunteers coordinated by parishioner Terry Ashley.

Parish Staff & Clergy

All Saints is led by Fr. Mike Wolfe and is twinned with St. Martin de Porres and the other Central City parishes under shared pastoral leadership. The parish office is staffed by Office Manager Ed Rodriguez, Music Ministry director Sheila Bost, Sacristan Bea Frazier, and Maintenance Supervisor Steve Austin.

Building Fund & Capital Needs

In 2025 All Saints launched a Building Fund campaign seeking $20,000 to address the parish's aging cooling system. Parishioners raised over $25,000; with additional quiet donors the total reached more than $40,000. Fr. Mike Wolfe and the finance council then secured grants, including significant funding from the Archdiocese of Milwaukee inspired by the parish's commitment, enabling the full replacement and modernization of the cooling system.
