All Saints Catholic Church is a historic Roman Catholic parish in Hayward, California, in the Diocese of Oakland. Established originally as a small mission parish in 1868 — before Hayward was even incorporated as a city in 1876 — the parish traces its roots to the Portuguese and Spanish immigrants who built the early Catholic community in the Hayward foothills. The current Spanish-style church at the corner of Second and D streets was constructed beginning in 1909 and remains a defining landmark on the Hayward skyline. History of All Saints Parish
All Saints was founded in 1868 as a small mission parish — eight years before Hayward was incorporated as a city in 1876. The parish traces its origins to the Portuguese and Spanish immigrants who settled the Hayward foothills, and the parish itself describes the church as 'a lasting tribute to the Portuguese and Spanish immigrants who established the parish.' Construction on the present Spanish-mission-style church began in 1909 on the rise at Second and D streets, and that 1909 building remains the parish's spiritual home today. In 2009 the parish held a year-long centennial celebration, with church tours, historical presentations, a special February 14 Mass with renewal of marriage vows, and a culminating citywide event on November 1, the Feast of All Saints.

Architecture & Buildings
The parish's defining structure is the 1909 Spanish-style church with twin spires that sit prominently on the first rise of the Hayward foothills. The exterior 'continues to awe passer-by' according to the parish. Inside, the altar and stained glass windows are described as reflecting the talents of their makers and inspiring reverence in worshippers. The Spanish-style complex includes both the church and the Catholic school, enclosing the block along Second Street between D and E streets.

Devotions & Livestream
The parish nurtures ongoing devotional life beyond Sunday Mass. The Our Mother of Perpetual Help Novena is prayed on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM, and a monthly First Friday Mass is celebrated at 6:30 PM. The 11:00 AM Sunday Mass is livestreamed so that parishioners who are homebound, sick, or traveling can remain connected to the parish's liturgical life.

Faith Formation & Religious Education
All Saints runs a full faith formation program serving children, youth, and adults. The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA) welcomes those seeking to become Catholic or to complete their initiation sacraments. Children's Faith Formation (under Angelica McMahon) and the broader Faith Formation program (under Jean Easterly, Ed.D) serve school-age parishioners, while Patrick Crosby and Kevin Virrey coordinate Youth Confirmation preparation.
