All Saints Parish is a multi-ethnic Roman Catholic parish in Haverhill, Massachusetts, in the Archdiocese of Boston. It was created in 1998 through the merger of four historic Haverhill parishes — St. Joseph (French-Canadian), St. Rita, St. George (Lithuanian), and St. Michael (Polish) — and now worships at the former St. Joseph Church at 120 Bellevue Avenue. The parish serves a diverse community with Masses in both English and Spanish, perpetual adoration in its chapel, a robust Food Pantry, faith formation for children and youth, Stephen Ministry, and a Spanish prayer group (Grupo de Oración Divino Salvador).

About All Saints Parish

All Saints is a multi-ethnic Roman Catholic parish in Haverhill, Massachusetts, formed in 1998 from the merger of four historic Haverhill parishes — St. Joseph (French-Canadian), St. Rita, St. George (Lithuanian), and St. Michael (Polish). It belongs to the Archdiocese of Boston and worships at the former St. Joseph Church at 120 Bellevue Avenue, a brick Gothic building erected in 1925–1926. The parish serves a diverse community with Masses in English and Spanish, perpetual adoration in its chapel, faith formation for every age, and a robust outreach ministry through its Food Pantry.

Parish History

In 1998 the Archdiocese of Boston merged four ethnic Catholic parishes in Haverhill into one new parish, All Saints, under founding pastor Father Dennis T. Nason. Archbishop (later Cardinal) Seán P. O'Malley celebrated the fifth-anniversary Mass on November 1, 2003, with roughly 1,600 parishioners present. Father Nason served until his death on October 4, 2010. Father Christopher W. Wallace was appointed pastor in June 2018 and reappointed in 2024.

Faith Formation & Youth Ministry

The parish runs Family Faith Formation for children in Grades K–4, youth ministry for Grades 5–12, and the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). A young-adult Bible study called LITE (for ages 17–21) meets every Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the St. Rita Room of the parish hall.

Outreach: All Saints Food Pantry

The All Saints Food Pantry serves Haverhill and surrounding communities, distributing food on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. In December 2025 alone the pantry served about 200 families, and 24 food-pantry distributions in 2025 together assisted nearly 4,500 households (about 14,600 individuals). The pantry is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2026 and is in ongoing need of Spanish–English interpreters and donations of cereal, juice, packaged snacks, canned meat/fish, and toiletries.

Other Ministries & Groups

All Saints supports a Stephen Ministry of trained lay caregivers, a Spanish-language prayer group (Grupo de Oración Divino Salvador, meeting Fridays), and is starting a Columbiettes chapter (a Catholic women's organization). The parish also organizes communion visits to the homebound and a weekly homemade-meal program run by parishioner Anthony Raia, with 10% of proceeds donated back to All Saints.

Sacraments

All Saints prepares parishioners for the sacraments of Baptism, Marriage, and the Anointing of the Sick, and welcomes adults into the Catholic faith through the RCIA. Baptisms are coordinated through Ms. Albanery Ortiz, and couples are asked to contact the rectory at least six months before a wedding. The Anointing of the Sick is available in emergencies by calling (978) 914-2756.
