All Saints Church is a small Catholic parish located at 27420 Madison Street in the village of Chaumont, Jefferson County, New York, on the shore of Lake Ontario. It is part of the Roman Catholic Community of Cape Vincent, Rosiere and Chaumont, a merged parish family administered by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC) within the Diocese of Ogdensburg. All Saints serves as one of three worship sites in the community — alongside St. Vincent of Paul Church in Cape Vincent and St. Vincent de Paul Church in Rosiere — with Sunday Mass celebrated at 9:00 a.m. and weekday Masses on Tuesday and Friday mornings. The parish traces its roots back to 1868 and was formally incorporated on January 3, 1896, with the present church building completed and dedicated in 1902.

As one of three worship sites in the merged Roman Catholic Community of Cape Vincent, Rosiere and Chaumont, it offers Sunday Mass, weekday Masses, faith formation for children, youth ministry, and a food-pantry ministry for those in need, all under the spiritual care of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart. History of All Saints Church, Chaumont
Catholic life in Chaumont goes back to 1868, when Father Hogan of St. Patrick's in Watertown celebrated the first recorded Mass — for the funeral of a railroad worker in the house where he boarded. Through the 1870s visiting priests held services in private homes, and in 1877 the Mission of Chaumont was joined to Clayton, with Mass said in the Le Ray de Chaumont house and later in the Dayton Hilts home. By 1895 the congregation had been linked with Brownville and Dexter parishes. On January 3, 1896, All Saints Church of Chaumont was incorporated under Father J. A. Hagerty, with Joseph Charlebois and Augustus Solar as trustees; the property on Madison Street was purchased from John and Emma Ely on February 17, 1896, and parishioners converted the house into a small church. The Parish Becomes a Residence (1922–1930s)
As the local Catholic population grew, Bishop Joseph H. Conroy decided in 1922 to make Chaumont a parish with Dexter as a Mission, and Father Edward H. Bernier was appointed the first resident pastor in 1924, greatly strengthening parochial life. In 1929 the house adjoining the church was purchased for use as a rectory. On August 21, 1930, a devastating fire destroyed much of the village, including the little church; rebuilding began immediately and the church was completed in time for Christmas that same year.

The 2004 Merger
In 2002, while remaining pastor of Chaumont, Fr. Pierre Aubin assumed responsibility for the parish of Cape Vincent and its mission in Rosiere, and in early July 2002 moved to the rectory in Cape Vincent. In 2004 All Saints, St. Vincent of Paul in Cape Vincent, and St. Vincent de Paul in Rosiere were formally merged into the present Roman Catholic Community of Cape Vincent, Rosiere and Chaumont. Sister Anne Hogan, SSJ, was appointed pastoral assistant that year, taking up residence in All Saints' former rectory; she retired to the Sisters of St. Joseph in Watertown in 2014. In 2015 the interior of the parish house was renovated and a new roof was installed on the garage.

Mass & Worship Schedule
All Saints is one of three worship sites in the merged parish family. At All Saints Church in Chaumont, Sunday Mass is celebrated at 9:00 a.m., with weekday Masses on Tuesday and Friday mornings at 8:30 a.m. Across the parish, Saturday Vigil Mass is offered at 4:00 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul in Rosiere, and Sunday Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent of Paul in Cape Vincent. A weekly Community Rosary is held at All Saints on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 p.m., and Sunday morning is often followed by a community breakfast in the parish hall.

Faith Formation & Religious Education
Faith formation for the parish is coordinated across the merged community. At All Saints and the wider Chaumont area, Religious Education is led by Melissa Koffs, while Mike Nebbia coordinates Religious Education for the Cape Vincent area. Youth Ministry across the parish is led by Sharon Nebbia. The parish bulletin regularly invites families to enroll children and teens in ongoing faith formation in preparation for the sacraments.

Parish Ministries & Outreach
Parish life at All Saints is carried by a small but active group of lay ministries. The All Saints Altar and Rosary Society cares for the church and operates a can-and-bottle return in the back hall whose proceeds fund the parish's social outreach. A community Food Pantry serves those in need in the area. Pastoral outreach to the poor, sick, and shut-ins has been a hallmark of the parish since Sister Anne Hogan's years as pastoral assistant, and continues through the MSC priests and deacon.

Sacraments
All Saints celebrates infant Baptism (the parish bulletin records a 2024 'Leap Year Baby' baptism of baby Lila by Rev. Ray Diesbourg, MSC at All Saints Church). Mass intentions are offered each week for the deceased and for the sick, and the parish coordinates sacramental preparation — Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation — through its faith-formation program in concert with the MSC priests.
