About Bishop McNamara High School
Bishop McNamara is a Catholic, coeducational, college-preparatory liberal-arts high school in Forestville, Maryland, in the Holy Cross tradition. Founded in 1964 at the invitation of Archbishop Patrick O'Boyle and staffed by the Brothers of Holy Cross, it was named to honor Auxiliary Bishop John M. McNamara. Originally an all-male school, it became coeducational in 1992.
