About Saint Gabriel School
St. Gabriel School is a Catholic parish elementary school in San Francisco's Sunset District, established in 1948 and originally staffed by the Sisters of Mercy. At its peak it grew to roughly 1,200 students, becoming the largest Catholic elementary school west of the Mississippi. Today it serves over 500 TK-through-8th-grade students with two classes in each grade.
