About Saint Brendan School
St. Brendan Parish School is a Catholic elementary school in the West Portal/Forest Hill area of San Francisco, serving students from kindergarten through eighth grade. It opened on September 2, 1947, originally staffed by Dominican Sisters from Adrian, Michigan, though the faculty today is entirely lay teachers. In August 2021 the Archdiocese of San Francisco transitioned the school to a Cooperative Governance model shared between the Department of Catholic Schools and the parish pastor. The school is accredited by the WCEA and WASC.
