About Archbishop Riordan High School
Archbishop Riordan High School is a Catholic, co-educational college-preparatory high school established by the Society of Mary (Marianists) and named for Patrick William Riordan, the second Archbishop of San Francisco. It opened in the fall of 1949 and was the oldest exclusively male high school in San Francisco until it became co-educational in 2020. The school follows the Marianist tradition of Catholic education.
