About St. Charles Borromeo Academy
St. Charles Borromeo Academy opened in 1947 to serve the Loma Portal and Liberty Station communities of San Diego. It describes itself as an inclusive Christ-centered Catholic community that provides a strong academic curriculum and fosters independent critical thinkers. The school was originally staffed by the Daughters of Divine Charity (1947–1986) and is fully accredited through WCEA and WASC.
