About Academy of Our Lady of Peace
The Academy of Our Lady of Peace (OLP) is the oldest high school in San Diego and the only all-girls Catholic high school in San Diego County. It was founded in 1882 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, who opened the school on May 10, 1882. Originally coeducational, it became a school for young women in the late 1890s, and its North Park campus is centered on the historic Villa Montemar estate.
