About Central Catholic High School
Central Catholic High School is a Catholic college-preparatory school in Portland and the only archdiocesan high school in the Archdiocese of Portland. Founded in 1934 by Archbishop Edward Howard, it opened its doors in 1939 and became coeducational in the early 1980s. The school offers 27 AP/Honors courses, 60+ clubs, and a 17:1 student-teacher ratio, distributing roughly $4.4 million in annual financial aid.
