About La Salle Academy
La Salle Academy is a private, all-boys Roman Catholic high school in Manhattan, run by the De La Salle Christian Brothers. Founded in 1848 at the invitation of Bishop John Hughes, it opened as Saint Vincent's School and took the La Salle Academy name in 1887; it returned to its historic East 2nd Street location in 2025.
