About Cardinal Spellman High School
Cardinal Spellman High School is a co-educational Roman Catholic high school in the Bronx, named for Cardinal Francis Spellman, sixth Archbishop of New York. It opened in 1959 (initially co-institutional with separate boys'/girls' classes) and converted to a fully co-ed model in 1971.
