About Ursuline Academy
Ursuline Academy is an all-girls Catholic school in New Orleans founded in 1727 by the Sisters of the Order of Saint Ursula — the oldest Catholic school and the oldest school for girls in the United States. Its early work included the first classes for enslaved African American women, free women of color, and Native Americans.
