About St. Augustine High School
St. Augustine High School is a historically Black, all-boys Catholic school in New Orleans, founded in 1951 by the Josephites. It was the city's first all-Black, all-boys school and remains a leading secondary school for Black males in Louisiana. The Josephites are the only U.S. Catholic community whose exclusive mission is serving the African American community.
