About Archbishop Edward A. McCarthy High School
Archbishop Edward A. McCarthy High School is a co-educational Roman Catholic school of the Archdiocese of Miami that opened in 1998 in Southwest Ranches, Florida. Named for Edward A. McCarthy, the second Archbishop of Miami, the school is recognized as a Catholic Education Honor Roll School and an Apple Distinguished School. Its campus includes a 300-seat chapel, gymnasium, fine arts theatre, and media center, and its mascot is the Maverick.
