About Alverno Heights Academy
Alverno Heights Academy is a Catholic school in Sierra Madre, founded in 1960 by the Sisters of St. Francis and now sponsored by the Immaculate Heart Community, with Franciscan roots. Its all-girls Upper School (9-12) closed in 2023; the school continues as an independent, progressive Catholic TK-8.
