About Guardian Catholic School
Guardian Catholic School opened on August 14, 2017, formed by merging two historically significant Northside Jacksonville schools: St. Pius V (established in 1921 by the Diocese of St. Augustine to serve the city's African-American Catholic community) and Holy Rosary (founded in 1958 to serve the Brentwood area). The school occupies a campus at 4920 Brentwood Avenue and is operated as a diocesan school rather than as a parish school. It serves students from PK3 through eighth grade in Jacksonville's urban core.
