About Strake Jesuit College Preparatory
Strake Jesuit College Preparatory is a Catholic, all-boys college preparatory school for grades 9-12, run by the Jesuits (Society of Jesus). It was founded in 1960 on Houston's then-undeveloped west side and is named in honor of oil businessman George Strake. The first class graduated in 1965, and today it is one of the largest Catholic schools in the Houston area.
