About O'Connell College Preparatory School
O'Connell College Preparatory School is a Catholic, co-educational college preparatory high school (grades 9-12) in Galveston, Texas, and the only Catholic high school in the city. It was formed in 1968 by consolidating Galveston's three historic Catholic high schools (Kirwin, Dominican, and Ursuline) and is named for Monsignor Daniel P. O'Connell. It was reorganized under its current name in 2004.
