St. Mary of Carmel Catholic School

The Catholic community of St. Mary of Carmel traces to 1937, when Discalced Carmelite missionary Father Sebastian Valles, O.C.D., began ministering to West Dallas Catholics. The school opened in 1944 when the main building and convent were built and the Sisters of the Holy Spirit and Mary Immaculate agreed to staff it. It serves students from pre-kindergarten through 8th grade and continues its Catholic educational mission in the West Dallas community.
