About St. Ignatius College Preparatory School
Saint Ignatius College Prep is a coeducational, Jesuit Catholic college-prep school for grades 9-12 on Chicago's Near West Side. Founded in 1869 by Fr. Arnold Damen, S.J., it is Chicago's flagship Jesuit high school. Its 1870 main building is one of only five Chicago structures that predate the Great Fire of 1871, and the campus is a National Register of Historic Places listing and a Chicago Landmark.
