About Mount Carmel High School
Mount Carmel High School is a private, all-boys Catholic college-prep school for grades 9-12 in Chicago's Woodlawn neighborhood. Founded in 1900 by the Carmelite Order (originally as St. Cyril College), it was rededicated as Mount Carmel in 1924. It remains Carmelite-operated and is known for one of Illinois's most successful high school football programs.
