About Cardinal Cushing School
Cardinal Cushing School is part of Cardinal Cushing Centers, a special-education school in Hanover, Massachusetts, serving students ages 6–22 with mild to severe special needs, including autism and intellectual disabilities. It traces its origins to land purchased in 1947 by Archbishop Richard Cushing of the Archdiocese of Boston, with St. Coletta by the Sea opening on the campus in 1949. The organization was renamed Cardinal Cushing Centers in 2000, and the campus offers both day and residential programs.
