About PFW
Philadelphia Furniture Workshop, founded by Alan Turner in 2006, began as a woodworking school offering project-based and skill-based courses. Its first class, taught by Jeff Jewitt, ran in March 2006. The school expanded over the years to include both basic and highly sophisticated furniture projects. In 2014, it became a nonprofit and was granted 501(c)(3) status. Craig Vandall Stevens joined as Executive Director in 2017.
