Meet Dr. Mark L. Mazow, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Mark Lawrence Mazow, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist and ASOPRS fellowship-trained oculoplastic surgeon. A native Texan born in Galveston and raised in Houston, Dr. Mazow earned his undergraduate degree in Biology at Rice University, then his M.D. at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston (McGovern Medical School) in 1986. He completed a transitional internship at St. Joseph's Hospital in Houston, an ophthalmology residency at the University of Kansas, and two subspecialty fellowships: one in Ophthalmic Plastic, Reconstructive, and Orbital Surgery at Eye Plastic Surgery Associates in Dallas, and one in Ophthalmic Pathology and Oncology at Washington University School of Medicine. He has been in private practice in Dallas since 1991.

Dr. Mazow has been continuously involved in ophthalmology education at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas since 1990. He began as a Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology (1990–1992), was promoted to Clinical Assistant Professor (1992–2002), and currently serves as Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology (2002–present). He has trained ophthalmology residents and oculoplastic fellows and lectures in the UT Medical School at Houston Department of Ophthalmology Basic Science Course.
