East Los Angeles Occupational Center (ELAOC) is a public adult education institution within the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Division of Adult and Career Education, established in 1969. About ELAOC
East Los Angeles Occupational Center (ELAOC) is part of the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Division of Adult and Career Education. We have been providing a high-quality, low-cost education since 1969. Students at ELAOC can earn a high school diploma or HiSET and learn English as a second language. We also offer training that upgrades skills for an existing job and classes that prepare people for a new career. We have something for everyone and welcome you to take a look at our programs and enroll.
Our Programs
ELAOC offers English (ESL) classes with morning and evening options from Monday to Saturday. Our teachers can help you improve your English for work, school, or everyday life. We also provide academic, career and technical education (CTE) programs, including Cosmetology, CNA, Medical Assistant, Photovoltaics, Powerline, and Video Production.
Enrollment & Schedule
The first day of class is August 12. Enrollment is open with specific registration hours: Monday, August 10: 7:30 am - 3:30 pm; Tuesday, August 11: 11:30 am - 3:30 pm; Wednesday, August 12: 7:30 am - 8:00 pm. Saturday, August 15: First Day of Saturday classes at the East LA Skills Center Campus (3921 Selig Place) from 7:30 am - 3:00 pm.
