2023 Acquisition & Rebranding
On June 7, 2023, Dallas County Hospital announced it would acquire Broadlawns' Dallas Center Clinic, with the transition taking effect Monday, July 3, 2023. Broadlawns Medical Center President and CEO Dr. Anthony B. Coleman said the 'unprecedented growth in Polk and neighboring Dallas County has shifted the demand signal and current care delivery model' and expressed confidence that Dallas County Hospital would continue seamless care for Dallas Center residents. DCH CEO Angela Mortoza framed the move as DCH 'expanding our footprint in Dallas County,' saying 'we are neighbors caring for neighbors.' A formal ribbon-cutting was hosted in late July 2023 in partnership with the Adel Chamber and Dallas Center Betterment Foundation, celebrating the launch of DCH Family Medicine Dallas Center.
