Body By Ravi Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics was founded by Dr. Ravi Somayazula, a New Jersey native who earned his bachelor's degree in biology with a psychology minor at Rutgers University, attended medical school at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed a six-year general surgery residency at the University of Massachusetts at Berkshire Medical Center, and finished a two-year fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center and Brigham and Women's Hospital at Harvard Medical School in Boston. Board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), the Houston Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the International Society of Plastic and Regenerative Surgeons, Dr. Ravi has been in practice in the Houston area since August 2011 and has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2019.
