Born and raised in Fraser, Michigan, Dr. Ben Maniaci and his identical twin brother attended Fraser High School. Dr. Maniaci was on the Macomb County Dream Swim Team. After high school, Dr. Maniaci worked as an optician at Henry Ford OptimEyes Roseville for 10 years, during that time he attended Wayne State University. In 2009, after graduating from Michigan College of Optometry, he returned to Henry Ford OptimEyes as an optometrist. His clinical experience includes an internship at Henry Ford West Bloomfield, as well as the Saginaw Special Needs Vision Clinic providing eye care services to mentally handicapped patients. He also provided low vision services for the Michigan Commission for the Blind. In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball (he is a tall 6’7”), tennis, and racquetball.
