Saint Felix of Nola was a Christian presbyter near Naples in Italy. He sold his possessions to give to the poor and was arrested and tortured for his Christian faith during the persecution of Roman Emperor Decius. Raphael (which means "God has healed") is an archangel and Christian tradition identifies him with healing and as the angel who stirred waters in the Pool of Bethesda as described in The Gospel According to Saint John (5:2-4). He is considered a protector and healer and he is the patron of travelers, nurses, physicians, medical workers, Christian marriage and Catholic studies. My wife and I were confirmed in the Catholic Church and our marriage was validated on April 17 and we traveled to Italy the next day, and we spent nearly 3 weeks in the Naples area. She conceived while we were there. An Italian name was the obvious choice! Saint Felix's feast day is January 14, and Félix Raphael’s due date is one week later ❤ Saints Felix and Raphael, pray for us 🙏
