Hello, my name is Christian, I am 20 years old, and I am an Eastern Catholic under the Ruthenian Rite. I am discerning the Byzantine Priesthood, so I please ask that I receive your prayers. As I am on this app, I don't see much, if any, Byzantine or EC presence. I hope that I might be able to bring this presence here, and share the Glory of Christ through all parts of His Church. As Eastern Catholics we are not under Rome, but are in communion with Rome. Simply, we believe in the Seat of Peter, but we are self governing. Why? Our traditions are Orthodox, and the beginning of the ECC is a whole bundle of history in itself that I won't delve into here. But for those reasons, self governance is necessary. I restate what I shared before; that I hope to bring an Eastern presence to this app, and to share the wonderful disparity and difference in Christ's Church!
