The Cathedral of Segovia, also known as the Cathedral of Santa María, is a stunning example of late Gothic architecture located in Segovia, Spain. Constructed between the 16th and 18th centuries, it is renowned for its impressive dimensions, intricate stained glass windows, and its beautiful cloister. Often referred to as "The Lady of Cathedrals" due to its elegance and grandeur, it stands majestically in the main square, Plaza Mayor, serving as a significant religious and historical landmark. Interestingly, it was the last Gothic cathedral built in Spain, and its construction began in 1525 under the reign of King Charles I. Featured here is the Capilla Santo Cristo Yacente (The Chapel of the Recumbent Christ), a chapel within the cathedral, which features artwork by Gregorio Fernández from the 17th century.
