The Basilica of St. Andrew in Roanoke, Virginia, traces to an 1882 parish serving Catholic railroad workers; its present twin-spired church was built 1900–1902 and designed by architect William P. Ginther of Akron, Ohio. The High Victorian Gothic church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. On September 6, 2023, the Vatican's Dicastery for Divine Worship granted it the title of minor basilica. It serves the Roman Catholic Diocese of Richmond.
