Queen of All Saints parish was established in 1929 in the Sauganash neighborhood of Chicago under Cardinal George Mundelein. The present Neo-Gothic church, designed by architects Frederick Meyer and Querin Cook, was completed and consecrated in 1960. On March 26, 1962, Pope John XXIII elevated the church to the dignity of a minor basilica. It serves the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago and is noted for its shrines to eight Marian apparitions from around the world.
Neo-Gothic (Gothic Revival)
