Holy Family Cathedral in Tulsa, Oklahoma, traces to the city's first Catholic parish, founded in 1899. The present Gothic Revival church, designed by Tulsa architect J.P. Curtin of Curtin, Winkler, and Macdonald, was dedicated on April 1, 1914, and was the tallest building in Tulsa until the Mayo Hotel opened in 1923. It became the cathedral and seat of the newly established Diocese of Tulsa in 1973 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 11, 1982.
