Cathedral · Est. Parish founded 1911; present church completed 1975; elevated to co-cathedral in 2001
St. Raymond Maronite Cathedral in St. Louis, Missouri, traces its roots to Lebanese and Syrian immigrants who founded the parish in 1911; the present Byzantine Revival church was completed in 1975. In 2001 it was designated a co-cathedral of the Maronite Catholic Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon of Los Angeles, sharing that role with the cathedral in Los Angeles. In 2014 it was the site of the ordination of Wissam Akiki, the first married Maronite priest ordained in the United States in nearly a century, with the approval of Pope Francis.
