St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral in Parma, Ohio grew from a parish erected in 1959 by Archbishop Constantine Bohachevsky; the present cathedral was built from 1982 to 1985 and held its first services on June 24, 1985. When Pope John Paul II erected the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Saint Josaphat in Parma in 1983, the church became its cathedral seat, with Robert Moskal installed as first eparch in 1984. It serves the Ukrainian Greek Catholic faithful of the eparchy and is led today by Bishop Bohdan Danylo.
