Our Lady of the Annunciation Melkite Greek Catholic Cathedral in West Roxbury, Boston, traces to a parish first served in 1908 to minister to Levantine (Melkite) immigrants. The present Byzantine-inspired building, designed by architect Lawrence J. Cuneo, was constructed 1964-1966 and solemnly dedicated on April 24, 1966. It serves as the cathedral and episcopal seat of the Melkite Greek Catholic Eparchy of Newton, which encompasses the entire United States.
